Meet Ashley Cardona
About Me
Ashley Cardona is a passionate dancer and performer based in Tampa, Florida. She is a proud graduate of the University of South Florida; she holds her BFA in Dance with a concentration in Ballet. Ashley has cultivated other strong techniques in her training, such as jazz, contemporary, modern, precision jazz, hip-hop, and liturgical dance.
Originally born in Miami, Florida, but raised in Tampa, Florida, Ashley grew up in the world of competitive dance. She began her passion for dance at the age of 6 and was enrolled at a local studio called Elsa Pardo Dance Center, attending conventions and competitions. Ashley wanted to focus on her ballet technique and decided to continue her dance training at the Next Generation Ballet at the Patel Conservatory until her Senior year of high school.
Ashley later decided to attend the dance program at Hillsborough Community College and later transferred to USF to receive her Bachelor's. Ashley has performed in various faculty works by Christina Acosta, Richard Allan Ploch, Helen French, Sarah Walston Phillips, John Parks, Andrew Carroll, and Ben Hartley.
Outside of dance, Ashley is seeking her AA degree to become an OB/GYN Nurse to help patients with their reproductive needs, such as pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She hopes to combine her love for dance while also helping mothers and infants to a good and healthy life. Whether in the studio, on stage, or at a private practice, she brings energy, heart, and dedication to everything she does.
